How to Bet on Football & Win

Football is the most popular sport for Americans to bet on year in and year out. However, most of these bettors won’t be winning money.
I throw around the stat that 2% of bettors are long-term winners. That means 98% of those placing bets on this season’s football games.
Become a Winning Football Bettor
You might assume that the reason that most football bettors are losing bettors is because of making losing bets and having bad information. Of course that can be some of the reason, but many times it is due to a lack of money management, disciplined and clear strategy.
Call is a system or not, but, before you can profiting by making bets on football game, you must have a winning strategy.
Your winning football strategy should include:
- A Betting Bankroll – Set yourself a bankroll for the entire betting season. This should be money that is separated from all other money.
- A Preconceived Bet Amount – Winning bettors use units when betting. A unit is a percentage of your bankroll. While bettors will bet units differently, it is the basis of money management.
- Research and Tools – You can’t expect to win without doing your homework. Whether you post your thoughts on sports forums, read sports sites like Covers.com, or use other sites like Accuscore, research is an integral part of placing winning football bets.

There is no easy system to implement to win at betting football. While you can pay someone for their picks, most sports bettors would rather do their homework and place their own bets.
